Wedding season is finally in full swing here in the UK and it’s a real joy to see couples celebrating their love stories once again! As it’s been a little while, we thought you may be in need of some further wedding inspiration, so it’s time we brighten up your day with our favourite colour schemes for a summer soirée…
Pink is a real classic choice for a wedding colour scheme but we’re giving it a modern twist for this summer, opting for an ombré palette instead. There are lots of ways to include this gorgeous palette within your nuptials and the easiest way to start is probably with your bridesmaids. If you’ve got a number of bridesmaids, you can really make the most of your pink ombré theme with varying shades. From the palest pink to hot fuchsia, your girls will love the amount of choice. If you’re feeling brave, you could even channel the ombré look with your wedding dress – or you can opt for a bridal bouquet brimming with pink blooms. Extend the floral theme throughout your wedding décor, including your ceremony, tablescapes and place settings. This is the perfect pink colour scheme if you’re a true romantic at heart!
Blue, White + Green
This is a timeless choice for a summer wedding colour scheme and it really does work beautifully in any venue, whether you’ve down the route of a rustic barn or a country house location. You can embrace the green element of your colour palette with lots of leafy foliage throughout your wedding décor (as well as the bridal bouquet and buttonholes). Team ivory blooms and greenery with elegantly draped curtains, soft ivory table linen and luxurious ivory stationery. When it comes to dressing your ‘team of maids, you have a number of options for your girls to choose from. They could opt for dusty blue gowns, light teal or even white if you want to channel a modern vibe with your maids’ aisle style.
We’re throwing a slight curveball with our third and final summer wedding colour scheme… We can’t get enough of the thought of an apricot-inspired palette! This soft orange shade lends itself perfectly to lots of greenery and ivory details. It’s soft, romantic and looks gorgeous against the backdrop of an outdoor wedding venue or even a barn setting. Your ‘maids will look delightful in pale peach gowns, while a bouquet brimming with pillow-soft roses, white blooms and lots of foliage is a guaranteed winner. When it comes to your wedding tables, you could embrace your apricot wedding theme with subtly orange coloured glass goblets or charger plates. Line rustic wooden trestle tables with lots of foliage and peachy blooms – why not even incorporate dried fruit into your garland? Everything about this summer wedding colour palette is just edible!
Don’t forget, if your guests need a helping hand choosing their attire to match with your summer wedding colour scheme, we have plenty of options for them to choose from! Browse through our colour options right here or head back over to the blog for even more wedding inspo!
